NY State Dems Refuse to Stand During Pledge

Recently NY state democrats refused to stand and place their hand over their heart during the Pledge of Allegiance opening a special session. This all appears to be because of some political bickering between them and the republicans. Politics aside folks, you stand and place your hand over your heart for the Pledge of Allegiance. You can then get on with the bickering after the pledge.

How utterly disrespectful of the NY Sate Democrats to sit during the pledge and not participate, as a matter of fact one of the Democrats attempts to stand with his hand over his heart and he is pulled down by another member. This is shameful conduct by elected officials. See the video for yourself.

EPA Suppressed Report Skepitical of Global Warming

CBS is reporting that the EPA may have suppressed a report skeptical of the theory of global warming according to some newly disclosed emails.

Less than two weeks before the agency formally submitted its pro-regulation recommendation to the White House, an EPA center director quashed a 98-page report that warned against making hasty "decisions based on a scientific hypothesis that does not appear to explain most of the available data."

The EPA official, Al McGartland, said in an e-mail message to a staff researcher on March 17: "The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward... and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision."

The emails pose questions about interference in what is supposed to be an independent review process within a federal agency.
Alan Carlin, the primary author of the 98-page EPA report, told CBSNews.com in a telephone interview on Friday that his boss, McGartland, was being pressured himself. "It was his view that he either lost his job or he got me working on something else," Carlin said. "That was obviously coming from higher levels."

E-mail messages released this week show that Carlin was ordered not to "have any direct communication" with anyone outside his small group at EPA on the topic of climate change, and was informed that his report would not be shared with the agency group working on the topic.

"I was told for probably the first time in I don't know how many years exactly what I was to work on," said Carlin, a 38-year veteran of the EPA. "And it was not to work on climate change." One e-mail orders him to update a grants database instead.

After reviewing the scientific literature that the EPA is relying on, Carlin said, he concluded that it was at least three years out of date and did not reflect the latest research. "My personal view is that there is not currently any reason to regulate (carbon dioxide)," he said. "There may be in the future. But global temperatures are roughly where they were in the mid-20th century. They're not going up, and if anything they're going down."

Carlin's report listed a number of recent developments he said the EPA did not consider, including that global temperatures have declined for 11 years; that new research predicts Atlantic hurricanes will be unaffected; that there's "little evidence" that Greenland is shedding ice at expected levels; and that solar radiation has the largest single effect on the earth's temperature.

As a matter of fact folks, according to Carlin, global temperatures have declined in 11 years, there is little evidence that Greenland is losing ice at reported levels and that solar radiation is the largest effect on the earth's temperature.

So it appears that the Obama administration is attempting to suppress this report because it does not support Obama's environmental policies and his attempt to tax carbon emissions. If this report became public it could be used in any court proceedings challenging the legitimacy of a carbon emissions tax.

Yes folks, the transparency of the Obama administration is as clear as mud.

Free Health Care Isn't Free

Recently the Congressional Budget Office reported that a government run health care system would cost at least a trillion dollars and cause the loss of Private coverage for about 23 million Americans.

Democrats counter that report by saying that the Congressional Budget Office's numbers do not reflect the savings the plan would create by "taxing" unhealthy foods like "sugar".

The plan which was authored by Senator Kennedy does not include the government run health insurance sought by Obama or the Democrats plan to extend Medicaid benefits to anyone making less than 150 percent of the federal poverty level. The Congressional Budget Office says that this would add significantly to the cost of the bill.

Enacting the Kennedy plan, nonetheless, "would result in a net increase in the federal budget deficits of about $1 trillion," says the CBO. "That estimate primarily reflects the subsidies that would be provided to purchase coverage through the new insurance exchanges, which would amount to nearly $1.3 trillion in that period."

The final figure comes in at $1.042 trillion due to revenue provided by increased taxes as people moved from employer-based, tax-free coverage to other forms of insurance, penalties for being uninsured, and reduced payments to physicians under Medicaid.

"Those costs would be partly offset by receipts or savings from three sources: increases in tax revenues stemming from the decline in employment-based coverage; payments of penalties by uninsured individuals; and reductions in outlays for Medicaid and CHIP."

The CBO also said that, if enacted, the bill would break a key promise made by Obama: that those with private health insurance would not be harmed.

"[T]he number of people who had coverage through an employer would decline by about 15 million (or roughly 10 percent), and coverage from other sources would fall by about 8 million," the report says.

On top of all this folks Representative Charles Rangel(D)(NY)Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee says that the Democrats plan will include $600 billion in tax increases and $400 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.

So 600 Billion in tax increases (coming from you of course), they want to Tax unhealthy foods and cut Medicaid and Medicare by 400 billion.

First, almost any food could be considered unhealthy, bacon,hot dogs,bologna,ham,potato chips, ring dings, etc., you get the idea, and by taxing "sugar" they are going to cause a rise in costs of not just sugar, but everything containing it (which is almost everything you eat. So your pocketbook will feel it there as well).

Cutting Medicaid and Medicare will reduce benefits to those who now rely on it.

There are an estimated 46 million without health care in the United States, the Democrats plan would extend coverage to 16 million Americans, still leaving 30 million uninsured.

Do you still think this is about getting health care coverage for every American and making it affordable ? Wake up people before it's too late !

According to a report on The Drudge report: ABC TURNS PROGRAMMING OVER TO OBAMA; NEWS TO BE ANCHORED FROM INSIDE WHITE HOUSE,it appears that is exactly whats going to happen on June 24th.

To help push support for government run health care:

ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House. The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.

In response to this clearly unethical practice Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS:

Dear Mr. Westin:

As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC's astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform "town hall" at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC's web news "will all feature special programming on the president's health care agenda." This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president's health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.

Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party's opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers.

In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.

It's one thing to cover news conferences and the like from the White House, however it's quite another to anchor world news events and do an expose on government run health care from the White House. This gives the perception that government run health care is the only answer, especially without providing an outlet for the opposing view as well.

Either way it is clearly unethical to do it from inside the White House.

State Department: China to Get U.S. Aid

Todd Stern a US State Department Special Envoy said that China will will receive both financial and technical assistance from the United States for climate control.

"This is a developing country issue, which includes China," Stern told reporters on Friday. "I think there is no question that a Copenhagen agreement is going to have to include mechanisms to provide the financial flows and technological assistance to developing countries."

"I've said on a number of occasions now that it's accurate that China is in effect both a developed and a developing country at this point," said Stern. "They are developed in some of their major cities, Beijing and Shanghai, but they're still developing and still quite poor in a large part of the countryside."

Regardless, the United States will be spreading the wealth China's way, helping them to meet whatever final carbon emissions reduction goals come out of Copenhagen.

Wow ! Imagine that folks, last year we borrowed 700 billion dollars from China to bailout our banks and financial institutions on Wall Street, this year we borrowed 787 billion dollars from them to finance the "so called" stimulus package and now it appears that we are going to be financing China in regards to environmental concerns.

Are they kidding ? What are we going to provide financial assistance with the 787 billion we borrowed from them ? Unbelievable ! Why don't we figure out the cost and tell them to deduct it from the money we already owe them ?

How ridiculous. We are providing them with financial assistance and borrowing hundreds of billions from them and paying interest.

Poll: Voters Now Trust Republicans Over Democrats

Voters now trust Republicans over Democrats in six of ten key issues according to a new Rasmussen Poll out yesterday.

The latest poll shows that 45% trust Republicans on the economy over 39% who trust the Democrats. According to the poll this is the first time Republicans have led on this issues in two years. It also shows that voters who are neither Democrat or Republican trust the Republicans on the economy over the Democrats by two to one.

According to Rasmussen, the economy remains the number one issue in the country.

In another surprise, Republicans are now trusted more than Democrats when it comes to ethics and corruption which is the second most important issue and the top issue among independent voters. This is huge jump from May when the Democrats held an 11 point lead. (Seems as though Nancy (Pellochio)Pelosi's lies have not gone unnoticed)

Republicans still lead in National Security, now holding a 51% to 36% lead, a seven point jump from May. They also lead in the war on terror in Iraq by 45% to 37% a two point jump from May and from trailing in April. Confidence that we are winning the war on terror is at its highest level since February.

Republicans lead on the issue of immigration by 35% to 29%, for the third month straight. They lead on the issue of taxes by 44% to 39%.

Democrats continue to lead the Republicans on the issues of Social Security, Education and Health Care while both parties are tied on the issue of Abortion.

Obama: No Attack Helicopters for Israel, But Allows Egypt To Buy Them

In yet another "clueless in Washington" move the Obama administration has blocked Israel's request for advanced U.S. Apache attack helicopters.

According to Yoni The Blogger the Obama administration has blocked the sale of six Apache Longbow attack helicopters to Israel because the helicopters would threaten Palestinian citizens in the Gaza strip.

"During the recent war, Israel made considerable use of the Longbow, and there were high civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip," a source close to the administration said.

The sources said Israel has sought to purchase up to six new AH-64Ds in an effort to bolster conventional and counter-insurgency capabilities. They said Israel wants to replenish its fleet after the loss of two Apache helicopters in the 2006 war with Hizbullah.

However, the Obama administration has approved the sale of the same helicopters to Egypt.

Let's face it folks, the only reason why the sale has been blocked is because the helicopters will be used to defeat Hezbollah, the PLO, and other terrorist organizations and individuals in that region, something that Obama opposes.

The Obama administration is doing everything it can to show the Muslim world that the US is no longer Pro-Israel. It is a policy that we will come to regret, as I believe that Israel is our only true ally in the middle east.

Recruiting Center Shooting Suspect Is Muslim Convert

The suspect in the Arkansas Military Recruiting Center shooting that took the life of a US soldier and injured another converted to Islam as a teenager, according to Fox News.

Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the 23-year-old accused of killing a U.S. soldier and injuring another in the attack Monday in Little Rock, was born in Tennessee as Carlos Leon Bledsoe. He reportedly converted to Islam as a teenager, and court records show he changed his name in March 2006.

There is no indication that the suspect was part of any larger plot to attack the military at this time.

Prosecutors say he Muhammad was targeting U.S. soldiers "because of what they had done to Muslims in the past" and was angry about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Neil Livingstone, a national security and terrorism consultant, said some people on the margins of society are "easy marks" for radical Islamists who energize them with twisted teachings about Islam.

"Most of these guys - I think what it comes down to - they're misfits, they believe they've suffered injustice. ... They basically are striking back at society."

That is especially the case in prisons, where many black inmates convert to Islam and which have been identified as a "radicalizing cauldron" by law enforcement officials.

Which brings me to another point for me blogging about this, if many in prison are converting to Islam now, what do we think is going to happen if we house terror suspects in our prisons when we close GITMO.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that this could increase the recruiting of those that are already attracted to Islam to learn the radical Islamic ways and become terrorists themselves?

Another Travesty of Justice: Army Ranger gets 25 Years for Killing Al-Qaeda Operative

Yet another travesty of justice against our brave men and women fighting everyday in the war on terror. A crucial forensic witness was not allowed to testify because he would have cooberated the Army Ranger's testimony. This is outrageous and needs to be righted. In May 2008, a known member of an al Qaeda cell, Ali Mansur, was suspected of having organized an attack on the young Army Ranger's platoon, which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more under Lt. Behenna's command. For some unfathomable reason, Army intelligence ordered that Mansur be released and ordered Lt. Behenna, who was then 24, to escort the terrorist to his home.

On the way, Behenna questioned Mansur in an effort to learn additional information about other members of the terrorist cell, as well as who was financing it. During the interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense.

The government cast Mansur as the "victim" and prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder!

The following timeline was taken, in part, from the website that has been established in support of Lt. Behenna -- Defendmichael.com -- and confirmed by his mother, Vicki.

On February 23, 2009, Behenna went on trial. During the trial:

The government argued that Behenna executed Mansur while he was sitting on a rock, while Behenna said that he shot in self defense after Mansur stood up and tried to reach for the Lieutenant's gun during the interrogation.

A government expert, an Iraqi doctor who performed the autopsy, said that the bullets had a horizontal trajectory, suggesting a direct confrontation and not a scenario in which a defenseless Mansur sat helplessly on a rock while a standing Behenna shot him at a downward angle. In fact, both government and defense experts agreed on the trajectory of the bullets that killed Mansur.

In short order, the prosecution decided not to call to the stand another government expert, Dr. Herbert MacDonnell, but instead sent him home. But not before Dr. MacDonell told Behenna's defense attorney that he would have been a good witness for the defense.

While Dr. MacDonnell was picking up his coat in the prosecution room on his way out of the courthouse, he told the three prosecutors: "The explanation that Lt Behenna just testified to was the exact same scenario I told you yesterday. Lt Behenna is telling the truth."

Referring to Dr. MacDonnell's statement that he would have been a good witness, the defense counsel, Jack Zimmermann, asked the prosecutors if they had any exculpatory evidence that should be provided to the defense. (This is evidence favorable to the defendant in a criminal trial, which clears or tends to clear the defendant of guilt.) But the prosecutors denied having any such evidence despite having been told by their own expert witness that Lt Behenna's explanation was the only logical explanation of the events that had transpired.

Because this evidence was withheld, the prosecutors were able to argue that Lt. Behenna executed Ali Mansur while the "victim" was seated on a rock -- in spite of the testimony of forensic experts, including Dr. MacDonnell, who agreed that Mansur was standing with his arms outstretched when he was shot.

On February 27, 2009, Lt. Behenna was convicted of unpremeditated murder and assault by a military panel of seven officers -- none of whom were combat arms.
Following the trial, Dr. MacDonnell contacted the prosecutors again, asking that the information he provided them be given to the defense.

After Dr. MacDonnell's e-mail was provided to the defense counsel, Mr. Zimmermann moved for a mistrial.

Judge Theodore E. Dixon promptly ordered both sides in the case to file briefs relating to a possible mistrial, and, after reading the briefs, set a date for an additional hearing and ordered additional briefs, including one from the defense requesting a new trial.

But on March 20, Judge Dixon denied the defense motions to declare a mistrial and to order a new trial and sentenced Lt. Behenna to serve 25 years in Leavenworth penitentiary.

Lt. Behenna's attorneys are appealing the verdict. It is Vicki Behenna's understanding that the General of the 101st Airborne will review Michael's case in the next several weeks, in which case he can set aside the findings of guilt, order a new trial, or reduce Michael's sentence. After the General's decision, Michael's case will be docketed in the appellate court, a process that can take from one-to-three years for the appeal to be heard.

The Behennas and their many supporters have mobilized to help Michael and they urge everyone to contact his or her elected official to make sure that justice is done. And because the government has limitless resources but they don't, they've established a Legal Defense Fund to help their efforts.

Senior Cruise Ship Passangers Defeat Somali Pirate Attack

You absolutely have to love this story that came out of the Daily Mail Online.

Apparently some elderly British passengers helped stave off a Somali Pirate attack on their cruise ship.

The passangers were enjoying a midnight concert onboard the MSC Melody when pirates armed with rifles attempted to board it using grappling hooks and ladders.

But instead of panicking and running away, many of the elderly passangers began throwing deck chairs and tables at the Pirates who were attempting to board, forcing the Pirates to retreat back to their boat.

The ship's captain ordered security guards to fire two warning shots to scare off the attackers. ( Warning Shots ?)

Anyway, imagine these pirates have to go back to base knowing that they were defeated by the Geritol gang, how will they ever live it down. They have been disgraced.

And now Boys and Girls it's time for a story called Pelocchio. Pelocchio is the House Majority Speaker who is third in line for the Presidency. One day while on her G.W. Bush witch hunt in regards to CIA harsh techniques ("hee hee hee hee, I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too" !)( Uh,oh sorry...wrong story) it was pointed out that she had been briefed about these techniques and did not object.

Pelocchio said of the accusation:

"In that or any other briefing . . . we were not, and I repeat, were not told that water boarding or any of these other enhanced interrogation techniques were used. What they did tell us is that they had some legislative counsel... opinions that they could be used, but not that they would."

But then the evil Fox News reported on some recently released memos that contradicted Pelocchio's account:

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was thoroughly briefed in September 2002 that terrorist Abu Zubaydah was being water boarded by CIA interrogators, according to a report prepared by the Director of National Intelligence's office and obtained by Fox News and other agencies... . The new revelations completely contradict Pelosi's repeated assertions that she knew nothing about 'harsh interrogation' measures being carried out on enemy combatants."

Then suddenly Pelocchio remembered that it was her aide that was briefed back in 2005, but not her (as if this would exonerate her in the "I didn't know" scandal).

Then an unlikely hero by the name of Leon Panetta emerged from the darkness to set the record straight:

CIA Director Leon Panetta challenged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's accusations that the agency lied to her, writing a memo to his agents saying she received nothing but the truth...

Panetta, President Obama's pick to run the clandestine agency and President Clinton's former chief of staff, wrote in a memo to CIA employees Friday that "CIA officers briefed truthfully on the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah, describing 'the enhanced techniques that had been employed,'" according to CIA records.

"We are an agency of high integrity, professionalism and dedication," Panetta said in the memo. "Our task is to tell it like it is - even if that's not what people always want to hear. Keep it up. Our national security depends on it."

And so, the evil Pelocchio was exposed for the liar she is and she resigned and we lived happily ever after.

Okay..Okay, so the last line didn't happen, but we can all dream can't we.

Jihad 101: Coming to a School Near You

A ninth grade history class at a high school in Pueblo,CO. was supposed to teach students about terrorism, but instead the students were instructed to come up with a terrorist attack plot.

That's right folks, your kids may not be able to read, write, spell, add,subtract,multiply or divide, but little Johnny or Janey will be able to come up with a Jihadist plot in two minutes flat.

According to Gini Fischer, her daughter came home Thursday saying she had two minutes to come up with a plot for an act of terrorism.

110 freshmen at Pueblo County High School were given the assignment.

District 70 Superintendent Dr. Dan Lere said that students may have misinterpreted the assignment.

"If a student actually did illustrate an act of terrorism that they might commit, let's say against the school, we've expelled students for that."

(No sh*t Dick Tracy.)

So sure was the school that students misunderstood the assignment that they decided to collect the assignments and destroy them. To protect the students, of course(sac),right?

Poll: Anti-Gun Law Support Waning

A recent poll shows that more Americans now oppose new anti-gun legislation than ever before. The polls show strong support for enforcing existing gun laws instead. In fact, the support is so strong that Americans support for an assault weapons ban has dropped from three out of four people to barley one out of two.

A CNN poll conducted in April found 39 percent of Americans wanted stricter gun control laws, down from 50 percent in 2000, 46 percent wanted the gun laws to stay as they are, while 15 percent thought they should be less restrictive, up from 9 percent in 2000.

An April poll by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal found that support for curbing the sale of assault weapons and semiautomatic rifles has dropped from 75 percent in 1991 to 53 percent today.

Frank Newport, editor in chief of the Gallup Poll, told reporters Tuesday that:

"Every bit of data is showing us that Americans are getting more conservative about gun control."

Andrew Arulanandam, a spokesman for the National Rifle Association, said:

"The NRA has always been on the right side of this issue, there's a realization that over 20,000 gun laws that are on the books are meaningless unless they are enforced. We have adequate gun laws on the books to address every situation."

Rep. John Culberson, R-Houston, said diminished public support for gun control measures "a good thing" and that the recent poll findings would help lawmakers "resist pressure from this administration to pass more gun control legislation."

This is what many of us have been saying for years folks, enforce the existing gun laws on the books instead of looking to enact new ones because of the failure to enforce the existing laws.

Let's hope the Obama administration gets the message. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Why Is Obama/W.H.O. in Panic Over Swine Flu

For a couple of weeks now I have been reading and listening to all sorts of reports on the so called Swine Flu and how it could become a pandemic. Family and friends have been relaying accounts of the main stream news media reports of how many people are SUSPECTED of contracting the disease and how many have died of it so far.

I caution people not to overreact to these reports.

Of the around 100 cases suspected in the United States, the fact is that only one person, a toddler has reportedly died from the Swine Flu. As tragic as it is to lose a toddler no matter how they died,it is a fact that there is only one reported death so far.

As a former Director of Emergency Management for my community, I can remember a few years ago when we were concerned about the so called Bird Flu. They thought that would become a pandemic too, the fact is that only about 150 people worldwide died from the Bird Flu.

I remember one member of our Board of Health in a near panic mode at one of our meetings about the Bird Flu and what we were doing about it, accusing us of not taking it seriously when we were putting our plan to handle it together. I remember a person in charge of an assisted living center located in our area calling me all in a panic asking me what we were doing to assure the evacuation of those in her facility when the Bird Flu pandemic arrives because she saw it on the News.

Where is the Bird Flu pandemic we heard was coming. It didn't take place.

Does this mean we shouldn't take the Swine Flu seriously? No, it means that we should use our heads and not panic. What we shouldn't be doing is panicking people.

According to a report from the Center for Disease Control, 56,000 people died from the Flu in 2006. There was no panic over it, no hand wringing, just the usual precautions that you would take during Flu season, washing hands, get a Flu shot, if your sick stay home. No "the sky is falling" rhetoric. And yet 56,000 people died in the US, not one.

In 2005 63,000 people died from the Flu in the US. Where was the panic and the warnings of a pandemic. The facts are that an average of 36,000 people in the US have died from the Flu between 1993 and 2003 according to the CDC. The conventional Flu has killed more people than the highly publicized stains have.

So why is the World Health Organization and the Obama administration panicking the public over this when the conventional Flu kill thousands each year with nary a mention?

What better way to distract one from other agendas.

Obama's First 100 Days of Spin

According to FactCheck.org the first 100 days of the Obama Presidency are full of spin.

On The Economy:
During a March 24th news conference President Obama responded to critics of his budget figures who said they were too rosy by saying:

"Our assumptions are perfectly consistent with what Blue Chip forecasters out there are saying."

That wasn't true. As a matter of fact, at the time, the Blue Chip forecast was far more pessimistic than Obama's budget projections. Which means that a weaker economic performance would produce even larger deficits than Obama's budget forecasts.

On The Budget:

At the same news conference he claimed "we are reducing nondefense discretionary spending to its lowest level since the '60s." But his own forecast put the figure higher than under Reagan, Clinton, Bush 41 or Bush 43.

On Oil:
On February 24th he told a joint session of Congress that "we import more oil today than ever before." This isn't true. Imports peaked in 2005 but are much lower now.

On Mortgages:
In the same speech to Congress he claimed his mortgage plan would help responsible buyers but not those who borrowed beyond their means. However his own administration confirms that those who borrowed beyond their means would receive help as well.

On Education:
In a March 10th address on education Obama claimed that the high school dropout rate has "tripled in the past 30 years." This isn't true either, it has actually declined by a third.

On Jobs:
Obama has repeatedly stated that his stimulus package will create or save 3.5 million jobs, while that may be possible, it is far from a certainty. As a matter of fact the economy has been losing 22,000 jobs a day since Obama became President.

On Mexico's Guns:

On April 16th during a visit to Mexico, President Obama said "More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States." However, Mexico does not request that the United States trace all the guns they recover, so there is no way to know how many guns may come from the U.S..

Of course Factcheck had to attempt to call attention to so called Republican Spin and Internet emails about Obama. But, shouldn't this article have been about Obama's 100 days in office and what he accomplished or didn't accomplish, after all it's a report card on President Obama, not Cyberspace or the Republicans in Congress.

And get a load of the picture that appeared on Factcheck's site with the article.

Am I the only one who is tired of seeing photos of Obama that appear to have a glow or halo around his head perhaps subliminally suggesting he is the "Messiah".

Feds Knew NYC Fly Over Would Cause Fear and Panic

Does President Obama have any clue what the rest of his administration is doing ?

The unannounced recent flyover of New York City by two fighter jets and a 747 from the presidential fleet to buzz ground zero and the Statue Liberty for a photo op set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay.

The flyover was ordered by the White House Office of Military Affairs so it would have souvenir photos of Air Force One with the Statue of Liberty in the background.

To make matters worse, the Federal Aviation Administration's James Johnston said the agency was aware of "the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes" in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.

Even New York Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer disapproved stating:

"To say that it should not be made public knowing that it might scare people it's just confounding, It's what gives Washington and government a bad name. It's sheer stupidity."

The NYPD was so upset about the demand for secrecy that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly vowed never to follow such a directive again and he accused the feds of inciting fears of a 9/11 replay.

"Did it show an insensitivity to the psychic wounds New York City has after 9/11? Absolutely. No questions about it. It was quite insensitive," Kelly said.

President Obama ordered an internal review of Monday's low-flying photo op over the Statue of Liberty.

"It was a mistake. It will never happen again," President Obama said.

But if this was carried out by the White House Office of Military Affairs, didn't anyone brief the President on this? And if they didn't why not? Is Obama in control or are others running the show?

We have since learned that the White House planned a similar flyover in Washington DC on May 5th or 6th according to the Wall Street Journal.

"The White House had planned a second photo shoot of a jumbo jet used as Air Force One in Washington D.C next month. The follow-up session would have taken place May 5 or May 6, using the nation's capital as a backdrop, according to two government officials."

"One official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Washington photo session is being reconsidered, given the reaction to Monday's flight in New York."

The Boston and Worcester Tea Parties

Yesterday was a great day at the Boston Tea Party that took place on the Boston Common across from the State House. I arrived in Boston with my assistant Dave at about 10:30 AM. There were about 75-100 people present at that time. Within an hour there were hundreds.

From 12 noon to 3:00 PM there were about 1500-2000 in attendance. The event was pretty well organzied with the exception of the sound system which consisted of megaphones, which led to very low audio if you were way in the back of the crowd.

The crowd was very well behaved and loud and vocal at the same time, with chants of "Dump Barney" echoing through the crowd as well as other chants about Turnpike tolls, Obama, etc..

A lot of credit should be given to Corie Whalen (pictured below in pink scarf), a college student, who with others help, organized this event.

Then it was on to the Worcester Tea Party where I was very surprised to find between 1000 and 1500 in attendance and a very well organized presentation with a good sound system. Again a very well behaved but loud and vocal crowd interacting with the speakers at the event. All through the event from 4-6PM you could hear car horns honking approval of the Tea Party participants.

BOSTON-- While there are over 1600 tea parties planned around the nation for this coming tax day, April 15, one of the largest and certainly the most symbolic will be held in Boston. When British Prime Minister Gordon Brown visited Washington a few weeks ago, the Obama administration apparently didn't know that the State Department had an office that handled protocol for visiting dignitaries.

"According to a person close to the situation, Obama hasn't yet appointed a chief of protocol and his staffers, still unpacking, didn't realize that the State Department has an entire office dedicated to foreign visits."

Brown proudly presented Obama with a pencil holder carved from the antislavery ship, the HMS Gannet. Obama reciprocated with a DVD set of Hollywood movies, including "Psycho." When Brown got back home, he discovered they didn't work in his European player.

"At a minimum you don't want to give offense," says a former White House official who helped orchestrate foreign visits for a previous president. "That was really phoning it in."

Are you ready for this one folks ?

Major banks that benefited from the $700 billion bailout rescue package submitted records of ownership and executive pay, one of the requirements outlined by Congress in order for Banks to participate in the program.

So the Obama administration decided to engineer its new bailout initiatives so that firms benefiting from the bailout can avoid the Congressional restrictions, including limits placed on executive pay.

The administration has set up entities to act as a kind of middleman, channeling funds to the firms and avoiding the restrictions imposed by Congress.

There are some legal experts who are questioning the legality of this strategy including a former Justice Department Attorney who said:

"They are basically trying to launder the money to avoid
complying with the plain language of the law."

The administration says that this strategy enables them to determine if firms should be subject to the congressional restrictions.

The strategy has attracted little attention on Capitol Hill and some congressional aides have said that they were unaware of the administration's strategy. As you remember folks, two weeks ago Congress was up in arms about the AIG bonuses with some members of Congress accusing the Obama administration of not doing enough to safeguard the taxpayers interests.

Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, believes congressional conditions should apply to any firm benefiting from bailout funds. He plans to review the administration's decisions and may seek to undo them.

"We have to make certain that if they are using government money in any sort of way, there should be restrictions," he said.

According to Treasury spokesman Andrew Williams:

"These programs are designed to both comply with the law and ensure taxpayers' funds are used most effectively to bring about economic recovery."

In one program,to restart small business lending, administration officials plan to set up a middleman called a special purpose vehicle, a term made notorious during the Enron scandal, or some other type of entity to avoid the congressional restrictions, sources familiar with the strategy said.

In another program,to restart consumer lending, a special entity was created for the purpose of getting around legal limits on the Federal Reserve, which is helping fund this initiative. The Fed don't normally support the markets that finance credit cards, auto loans or student loans, but could channel the funds through a middleman.

When the initiative was being developed last year, the Bush administration decided to apply executive pay limits to firms participating in this program. However the Obama administration reversed that decision days before it was unveiled on March 3 and lifted the restrictions, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity because the discussions were private.

So,it appears that the Obama administration may be violating the law and very few in Congress either know about it or will do anything about it.

This administartion is running roughshod over the laws and Constitution of this nation and the sheep are just merrily following behind.

White House to GM CEO: Step Down

Here is another chapter in America's evolution into a socialist republic. First the government fights the AIG bonuses and now they have asked the CEO of GM to step down and he does.

General Motors Corp. Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner will step down immediately at the request of the White House, administration officials said Sunday. The news comes as President Obama prepares to unveil additional restructuring efforts designed to save the domestic auto industry.

Detroit-based GM issued a statement Sunday saying only that the company expects a decision by the administration soon but that "it would not be appropriate for us to speculate on the content of any announcement."

A person familiar with Chrysler's management said the company has been given no indication that the government will require any changes at the Auburn Hills, Mich., company.

Wagoner's departure indicates that more management changes may be part of the deal, but it is still unclear who will be put in charge of GM.

On Monday, Obama is to announce measures to restructure GM and Chrysler LLC in exchange for additional government loans.

This is scary stuff folks, make no mistake about it. What is happening to our country before our very eyes is a slow evolution toward a socialist republic where the government owns everything and controls your salary and you employment as well as your employer.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. The government is using the federal bailout funds as an excuse to control private enterprise. Once they gain control of the banks we will be pretty much all done with capitalism, at least as we know it.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has already made a statement that "the market will not solve this" while disclosing a bailout fund for battered banks has $135 billion left and might need more.

Last week he said he would consider a suggestion by China to move to a universal currency.

I told people this on my show when President Bush was looking to bailout Wall Street, the dangers that this posed to our country. By allowing the government to bail out these firms we ran the risk of the government being able to obtain more control over the firms and to almost become involved in the day to day operations.

Wake up people, under Obama, it is actually coming to fruition, and quicker than I thought it would.

Congressman Scorned Over Obama's Birth Certificate Issue

U.S. Rep. Bill Posey has proposed a bill that would require future presidential
candidates to document their eligibility. Since then he has become the target of ridicule and scorn from some of the main stream news media and his peers.

"What you should do is stop embarrassing yourself and take the Reynolds Wrap off your head,"

MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann suggested to Posey.
(Well, I have suggestion for Mr.Olberman, who is one of the least viewed shows on MSNBC and an embarrassement to them, "What you should do is Duct Tape your mouth shut and get into another line of work")

U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii, suggests that Posey's judgment is skewed.

"It's one thing to try to be responsive to your constituents, no matter how marginal," Abercrombie told the St. Petersburg Times. "I understand that. But to take it to the point of putting it into a bill -- you open yourself up, then, to having your judgment questioned."

Abercrombie said legislation generally is to "address common issues or concerns."

"The citizenship of someone who has reached the point of running for president of the United States is not really an issue," Abercrombie said.

Really Congressmaan Abercrombie, so you guys just address COMMON issue and concerns, sure folks, like pork barrell project funding and seeing how much more they can bilk from the taxpayers.

Maybe you think this question is not an issue but millions of Americans do and that is who you are supposed to represent.

Posey defended his position by saying:

"Why'd I do this?" Posey wrote on his blog. "Well, for a number of reasons and the more and more I get called names by leftwing activists, partisan hacks and political operatives for doing it, the more and more I think I did the right thing."

He said, "I've been called some pretty nasty things. That's fine. But none of these tolerant people actually want to discuss the issue at hand … whether or not a presidential candidate should have to file these documents with the government.

"I could easily fill up a page listing all the activities an American needs to show their ID for ...everything from playing youth soccer to getting a drivers license, buying cigarettes and alcohol, to opening bank accounts and even playing little league. So I was pretty surprised to find out that to run for president, despite the constitutional requirement and the media scrubbing that goes on, it's not required for a candidate to file these documents when they submit their statement of candidacy with the FEC," he said.

Posey has the fortitude to do his job, let's hope he has the fortitude to stand by his convictions and those of the people he represents. The bill will probably go no where but not for his lack of trying.

60 Minutes Kroft to Obama:" Are You Punch-Drunk ?"

Well folks here is another chapter in the continuing saga of the Obamanation. President Obama was being interviewed by Steve Kroft on CBS 60 Minutes on Sunday night, apparently the President was smiling and laughing through most of the part of the interview that covered the state of our economy.

Kroft picked up on this and asked the President:

"You're sitting here. And you're laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems," Kroft told the president. "Are people going to look at this and say, 'I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money?' How do you deal with -- I mean: explain ... Are you punch-drunk?"

The President replied:

"No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day," Obama replied, with a laugh.

Yes folks, you heard that right, this is what we need to get through the economic crisis, a little "gallows humor", this is Obama's plan, laugh it off. Who knew folks, when the bank calls and tells you they are foreclosing on your home, you can just laugh and yuk it up with them and this will fix everything. When your company tells you they have to lay you off, you can just apply the "gallows humor" method and all will be okay.

This is not a laughing matter Mr. President, while your yuking it up on the Tonight Show and now 60 Minutes, people are hurting, people want answers and solutions. The people want leadership not a comedian, Mr. President.
